About me

Hi, I’m Ann.

I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.  In my non-quilting life, I work in theatre.  In fact, the photo above is the show that introduced me to quilting!  I kept staring at the quilts in the show, and thought, “I have to learn how to do this”.  I immediately signed up for a class and have been obsessed with quilting ever since.  My favourite part of the process has always been the dramatic transformation that occurs during the final quilting stage.

The work I do in theatre disappears after closing night.  But quilts can last for generations.  Every quilter — experienced or brand new — deserves to see their vision for their quilt come to life.  I love helping quilters get past that hurdle of “quilt as desired” so they end up with the quilt they envision -- one that will be cherished for years.

I’m a member of the Winnipeg Modern Quilt Guild, Manitoba Prairie Quilters, and the Longarm League.  I completed the APQS Longarm Certification Course in November 2022.  My longarm is an APQS Millie.

When I’m not quilting or making theatre, I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends, and a bossy bichon frise named Bobby.
